Alexandra Cheney was born and raised in San Diego, California. Trading the palm tree and beaches for the fall leaves and Ohio winters she attends Dennison University and she absolutely loves it. When she’s not busy studying Political Science, Philosophy and Economics you can find her spending time with friends, indulging in a good Netflix show, or finding the best local Thai food restaurant. This semester she is living and studying in Belgrade, Serbia learning about the culture and all its complexities. Follow her @_cheney_a to keep up with her travels.
Anna Squires is a junior political science major and journalism/creative nonfiction minor at Colorado College. When she’s not catching up on the latest in foreign policy and international development, you can find her eating hummus, practicing yoga, and dreaming of the Southwest (occasionally all at once). She hails from Atlanta, Georgia.
Marija Pajković majored in Public Relations and Communications at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade, Serbia. Her passion for new media and philosophy led her to graduate studies of Digital Humanities this fall. When she’s not freelancing, or working at FMK Radio as a journalist and social media manager, you can find her reading, watching, or writing about science fiction and pop culture. She enjoys traveling, learning, enormous cups of coffee and exploring 8tracks’ playlists.
Nedim Filipovic is from Lake Oswego, Oregon. He is a Science and Management major with a focus on Chemistry at Claremont McKenna College. Nedim worked as the Media Editor for his high school publication, Lake Views. He has a passion for the outdoors and is a huge proponent of barefoot running.
Stefan Plavšić is a student from Belgrade. He is a journalist for the Internet portal “Media Centar FMK” and Radio FMK. He also works as a public relations assistant for Serbia’s busiest employment website. Stefan is a guitarist, pianist and songwriter. He uses his music to spread his ideas about human rights, human freedom and peace. He likes rivers, open-minded people and people not afraid to be themselves.
